GPS systems for tracking across Europe and worldwide

You can choose a GPS vehicle tracker with European or global coverage. Our vehicle tracking systems are equipped with a roaming SIM card for optimal coverage abroad and are also carrier-independent. For example, if Carrier A experiences a disruption, the tracking system switches immediately to Carrier B, ensuring that the system remains operational at all times and that location data can continue to be transmitted.

How does GPS tracking work?

Using GPS (satellites) and GPRS (GSM network), the coordinates of your vehicle or vessel are determined and securely transmitted to our online software.

We process these coordinates to display locations on the map. Or, in the case of journey logging, to create a complete journey record including addresses, distances and times.

You log in online or via the TrackJack app, where you can view, export and manage your data.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

With a GPS tracker, you can track whatever you want. Whether it’s cars, boats, containers, trailers, equipment or scooters, with the TrackJack OTM or TrackJack Endurance you can easily track the object of your choice.

Once the track and trace system has been installed, you can view the locations via our online software and via the smartphone app. This is handy when you’re on the move. The location is displayed on a map, which you can zoom in on in detail, and you can even explore the surrounding area via Street View. You decide how often you want to receive updates on the location from the track and trace system.

"Your vehicle tracker's location is determined using GPS satellites and the mobile network. The coordinates are securely transmitted to the TrackJack server. You can log in online via your computer or the TrackJack app to view and manage your data.

The TrackJack OTM offers coverage across Europe and provides GPS tracking throughout the continent at no extra cost. The TrackJack Endurance even offers global coverage, making it a suitable track and trace system for, for example, containers or items that travel around the world.

This depends on the type of GPS tracker you order and the service level/usage plan you choose. The TrackJack OTMoffers four different service levels, with location updates ranging from twice a day to full journey tracking (every 30 seconds). With the TrackJack Endurance, you can set it to receive a location update 1, 2, 4 or 12 times a day.

The TrackJack does not operate on a subscription basis, but on a service level. When you purchase a tracking system, you choose the service level that best suits your needs. If the service level is due to expire after a year, you will receive a reminder that you can renew it. If you do not do this, the service will not be automatically renewed. We therefore do not use automatic renewal contracts.

TrackJack’s GPS trackers are not only very user-friendly, they are also very affordable. Please visit our pricing page for the exact rates.

A safety zone, also known as a geofence, is an area that you define and designate yourself. For example, a zone at home, or Haarlem. As soon as the tracker enters or leaves the zone, you will receive an immediate notification. This feature is only available on the TrackJack OTM.

"The TrackJack OTM connects to the power supply of the desired object. When connected to the ignition, you will also receive theft alerts as soon as the vehicle is stolen. You can choose to install it yourself or have one of our technicians do it. We will visit your premises to install the track and trace system and test it immediately.

The TrackJack Endurance has a long-lasting internal battery, meaning the system does not need to be connected to the vehicle’s power supply."

A tampering alert means that you receive a notification as soon as the GPS tracker is disconnected from its power supply. A theft alert, on the other hand, means that the object is being moved whilst the ignition is off. For example, when a vehicle is being transported. You receive these alerts via your online account, the smartphone app and by email. For a small additional fee, you can also opt to receive alerts via text message.

Our track-and-trace system is silent and is therefore often used as a black box or tracking device for security purposes.

If we are able to carry out the installation for you, we will conceal the tracker as effectively as possible. The vehicle tracker is not visible and therefore cannot simply be removed from the vehicle.

"With the TrackJack app, you can also track your vehicle or boat on your smartphone. The app is available for iOS and Android.
This allows you to view and manage locations whilst on the move and receive notifications."

This varies depending on the service level. The minimum data retention period is 1 day and can be up to 1 year for the service level that includes full journey recording.

"The TrackJack OTM draws its power from the object to which the track and trace system is connected. This means it does not use an internal battery and therefore never needs to be charged.

The battery in the TrackJack Endurance lasts up to 5 years. This depends on the frequency set for transmitting location data."

No. The connectivity network is provided via so-called roaming SIM cards. These SIM cards operate on the strongest available network. TrackJack is not responsible for the quality or coverage of the network or for connectivity.

That’s a good question. Do you want to use GPS tracking worldwide? Or just in Europe? And do you want to keep an eye on your vehicle or maintain a comprehensive logbook? Follow our guide to help you find the best product for you.
