This week, our marketing team got in touch with Corella van Wijnen from Prior Personeelsdiensten, a specialist in technical services based in Middelburg.
Ms van Wijnen manages the vehicle fleet for the entire Prior group and has been an enthusiastic user of TrackJack since December 2019. Due to poor experiences with the supplier of her previous journey logging system, the search for a new journey logging system began at the end of 2019. Following a successful trial of the first system in December 2019, five other cars were fitted with a TrackJack in March 2020.
Simple journey logging
Van Wijnen is enthusiastic about how TrackJack works and its ease of use. Every Monday morning, she starts up her computer and finds the journey logs for all vehicles in her inbox, thanks to the scheduled reports that are automatically emailed. Van Wijnen: “You need to be taken off your hands, and that’s exactly what your programme does.”
“It’s a relief to work with your system”
TrackJack is not only used within Prior Personeelsdiensten for tax-related journey logging. The online account is also consulted for periodic speed checks and GPS tracking. Every week, the account managers check who has been driving, whether all journeys were authorised, and whether anyone has been speeding. “If we see that someone has been speeding, we’ll speak to them about it. A speeding fine is a waste of money and is deducted from their salary,” says Van Wijnen.
TrackJack is also a godsend for GPS tracking. Van Wijnen: “Recently, there was an employee who, due to circumstances, wanted to drive to his home abroad. Via TrackJack, we saw that he was already halfway through Germany and asked him to turn back.”
Driver identification
In early October, Prior Personeelsdiensten’s fleet will be expanded once again with six TrackJack systems, one of which will utilise driver identification. Thanks to an ID reader in the car and smart software, the journey recording system is able to identify the driver. This means the driver’s name is immediately linked to the journey, even when multiple people use the same vehicle.
Expansion to more
Should the driver identification trial prove successful, a similar installation may well follow in several vehicles. Van Wijnen: “We recently had a meeting with the director to explore further options for ensuring everything is tax-compliant. This includes expanding TrackJack to multiple vehicles, driver identification, and linking it to fuel cards.” By linking a fuel card to the journey log, it is clear where and by whom refuelling took place. In addition, you can see whether the driving was economical and whether the CO2 emissions match the manufacturer’s specifications.
Prior Personeelsdiensten aims to equip its entire fleet of 20 vehicles with TrackJack’s journey logging system.
Would you also like to have full control over your fleet, with driver identification, fuel cards and comprehensive journey logging? TrackJack is happy to help you get started, just as we did for Prior Personeelsdiensten.
