Ter Harmsel Sanitair & Installatietechniek is a household name in Overijssel. Originally, Ter Harmsel was the leading supplier of bathrooms and associated installations, but now does much more than that. Sewerage, roofing, heat pumps, solar panels, air conditioning, underfloor heating and more. And since 2019, the entire fleet has been equipped with TrackJack’s mileage tracking system.
Sylvia Bolhuis is responsible, among other things, for the fleet, which now comprises 25 vehicles. This includes, for example, scheduling maintenance, MOTs, appointments for vehicle branding and TrackJack’s automated journey logging.
Sylvia took over fleet management from a colleague who has moved to a different role. “It took me a short while to get used to how the system works, but that’s always the case with anything new. Now it works very well, and everything is self-explanatory.”
“The system is very user-friendly. It’s self-explanatory.”
Mileage tracking system for the tax authorities. And more.
Ter Harmsel uses the TrackJack PRO Tax for three reasons. The main reason is the tax authorities. “We want to be able to provide the tax authorities with a complete journey log when they ask for it.” In addition, the installation company also has an emergency service that operates in the evenings, at night and at weekends. With TrackJack, the nature of journeys can be easily adjusted. “Because although night-time journeys may be outside normal working hours, they are obviously not of a private nature.” The third reason the journey logging system is used is to be able to answer customer queries properly. Sometimes we are asked to provide justification for an invoice. And with the reports, we can demonstrate exactly what time a technician arrived on site and left again.
Sylvia is also very satisfied with TrackJack’s service. “I can always give them a call. It never takes long and I’m always helped properly. Thanks to the viewing code (Ed.: in connection with GDPR legislation), customer service can temporarily view my account and, where necessary, make adjustments or help me out.”
No private use of the vehicles

The drivers at Ter Harmsel all have their own vehicle and have signed a declaration of no private use. For this reason, driver identification or private buttons are not used.
However, we are exploring the possibilities of linking the data from the system to an internal data solution. This would allow travel expenses and working hours to be automatically linked to the invoicing system.
As soon as this is all up and running, we’ll be happy to tell you more about it.
