Does TrackJack use 2G or 4G?
Many suppliers of GPS systems use hardware equipped with 2G technology. TrackJack does not. Since the end of 2022, we have been supplying GPS trackers equipped with 4G technology, at no extra cost.
The 2G network is expected to be switched off by various telecoms providers in 2025. 4G is now the standard, and small amounts of data can be transmitted faster than ever before. When you purchase a TrackJack, you can be sure that you are not only getting the most reliable system, but also the very latest technology.
You probably already have 5G on your phone. 5G technology is designed to transmit larger amounts of data, such as streaming video and films. For this reason, you won’t find GPS trackers with 5G technology; instead, it is limited to devices such as tablets and smartphones.
